news to announce
i’m incredibly excited that one of my poems will be featured in the summer 2025 issue of shadow in the flesh — a literary and artistic zine by april showers publishing.
this issue’s theme is chronic and invisible illness, and my piece offers a deeply personal reflection on that experience.
it’s such an honor to be part of a space that embraces honest and vulnerable creative work. i can’t wait to share my words with you.
poetry and prose

poet.
stage manager.
swiftie.
hi, i’m tanja — a poet, storyteller, and proud swiftie.
words have always been my way of making sense of the world. whether it’s a poem scribbled on a napkin or a thought whispered into my notes app at midnight, writing helps me feel more alive, more connected, more me.
i studied film and directing in munich, and today i work as a stage manager in musical theatre — a place where stories come to life through movement, music, and emotion. it’s a fast-paced world, but i’ve learned to find poetry in the chaos.
music is another big part of who i am. i love to sing, and i’m teaching myself to play piano and guitar. taylor swift’s lyrics have shaped the way i see storytelling — honest, vulnerable, and full of soul. her words remind me that there’s beauty in being unapologetically yourself.
the ballads of life, my first poetry collection, marked the beginning of this journey. i’m so grateful you’re here for whatever comes next.
